1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee: Procedure to replace Blower Motor Resistor?

How to replace Blower motor resistor.

Many car owners with less knowledge about car repairs and parts replacement.Remove complete glove box to replace blower motor resistor.

BUT actually,There is no need to remove the glove box to access the resistor. If equipped, you only need to remove the insulator panel (the panel right above where the passenger's feet would be). There are a few small screws around the perimeter holding this panel in place. From there, you should have a clear shot.

See the help diagram shown below:--------

blower motor and resistor

Just follow this simple process:----

-Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
-Remove the blower motor resistor connector(s).
-Remove the resistor retaining screws.
-Remove the blower motor resistor.

This details will help.
Thanks.

2002 Mazda MPV: Heater Low Circuit?

Error code  P0037, H025, BANK 1 SENSOR 2, HEATER CIRCUIT LOW.

This is the O2 sensor located behind the Cat on the back side of the engine exhaust manifold.

To determine if the heater is bad, a resistance reading can be made on the heater pins at the plug to the O2. These would be the connectors that the Light Green and Black/White wire on the engine harness connect too. There should be resistance of 14.2 to 18.9 ohms. Anything more or less of these values, replace the O2.

And in case of P0031, HO2S Bank 1 Sen 1
Heater Circuit Low
The firewall side of the engine is Bank 1 for the MPV, the radiator side is Bank 2. So that code is pointing to a problem in the heater circuit for the sensor near the firewall before the convertor. You can check resistance of the heater circuit of the sensor. If should have 5-7 ohms, if not then the sensor is definitely bad.

AND IN CASE OF
P0031 H02S BANK 1 SEN 1, HEATER CIRCUIT LOW, WHERE IS THIS SENSOR LOCATED AND IS IT UPSTREAM OR DOWNSTREAM.

THe Oxygen Sensor at Bank1 Sensor1 is mounted to the exhaust manifold on the side of the engine closest to the firewall. This is a "Sensor 1" so it is labeled as an "Upstream" sensor.

See the help diagram shown below:----

1994 Toyota Pickup: Retrieve Error Codes Without OBD Scan Tool?

Yes its possible. The Error codes can be retrieved manually without OBD 1 scan tool.

There is a simple Jumper procedure.

The details well defined below:-----

Before obtaining the codes make sure that:
-Battery voltage 11 volts or more.
-Throttle valve fully closed
-Transmission in neutral range.
-Accessories switched OFF.
-Engine at normal operating temperature.

One all this things are checked ok.

Then follow the procedure to retrieve error codes :----

-Turn the ignition switch ON. Do not start the engine.
-Using a jumper, connect terminals TE1 and E1 of the DLC 1
-Read the diagnostic trouble code as indicated by the number of flashes of
the Malfunction Indicator Lamp. (The Check Engine light will "blink" the codes. For example: blink, pause, blink, blink = 12) OR( Blink, Blink ,Pause and Blink is code 21).
In the same way just count the number of blinks and confirm the error code.

See the diagram shown below for jumper points:-----

obd code jumper points

This details will help.
Thanks.

1998 Ford Expedition: Will not Shift Out of Park?

The Shifter will not release out of park mode.Vehicle stuck up in park and not move to drive mode or go to reverse.

First the few basics needs to be inspected.

When the shifter will not release from Park, first- Check your rear brake lights and see if they are working when you step on the brake pedal.

If the brake lights are NOT working, check your fuses.
Now if the fuses are good, and still no brake lights, the problem will be the Brake Light Switch.
The switch is located  at the top of the brake peal arm.
See the Exact location diagram of Brake light Switch shown below:----
brake light switch

This switch controls the rear brake lights, and also sends a signal to the Shift Interlock telling it to release when the brake pedal is depressed. Inspect the electrical connector for any loose, broken or damaged wires. If the visual inspection checks ok, replacing the switch will solve your problems.

========
The above mentioned in one possibility. But now think other way.
If the brake lights ARE working, then in that case the problem will be in the Shift Interlock system. Very commonly, this a Shift Interlock Solenoid problem. This solenoid is located on the steering column.
First Inspect the electrical connector for any loose, broken or damaged wires. If the visual inspection checks ok, suspect a faulty solenoid.

See below the exact location diagram for faulty part:----
Shift interlock Solenoid

This details will help.
Thanks.

1998 GMC K1500: OBD Error Code P0430?

Check Engine light came ON and Engine computer Scan shows OBD error code P0430.

In many cases its noticed that user replace O2 sensor to clear this code. But hold its not a faulty O2 sensor error code.

Its catalytic converter related error code.

The P0430 is a fairly straight forward code pointing to a failing Catalytic Converter (in this case, the converter for Bank #2).
Read this theory to understand the working procedure:------
This will help you to understand, why catalytic converter needs to be inspected and replaced.
The Oxygen Sensors measure the amount of emissions in the exhaust going into, and then out of the covnerter. When they see the converter is not "cleaning" the exhaust enough to meet specs, the converter is deemed "below threshold", the P0430 is set, and most commonly, the converter will need to be replaced. Keep in mind, you will need a converter that meets GM specs, and those "universal" or "discount" converters will not cure the problem.
The Aftermarket parts will not meet the accurate requirement of the vehicles system.

See the parts location diagram shown below for Bank 2 Catalytic converter:-----
catalytic converter

This details will help.
Thanks.

1996 Toyota Camry: Replace Camshaft Position Sensor?

Where is Camshaft Position sensor exactly located and how to replace the Sensor.

The accurate procedure with details and diagrams are as follows:----------

The Camshaft Position Sensor is built into, and part of the Distributor. If you need to replace the Camshaft Sensor, you will need to replace the Distributor as a unit.

See the Diagram show below for  Exact location Distributor Assembly:----

distributor

Please Note:-------
The Cam Sensor is not a stand-alone servicable item. The entire Distributor needs to be replaced (it's actually a quite common fail item on this year engine).
On some cases its seen that distributor simply "stuck" in there due to time, build-up, etc.
If you carefully see there is a rubber o-ring that "seals" it in place. It just takes a little force to remove it. You can use a small pry tool between the mounting bolt location, and the engine block .

See the information diagram shown below to view the Assembly :-----

cam sensor

This details and diagram will help.
Thanks.
