Door locks or windows not working on car?

Alot of older cars and even some newwer cars and truck, you may find that door locks or windows work sometimes and not other times and they may not work at all. i've found that many of them are not working due to a broken wire or two in the wiring coming inside the door where the door hinges are located, in side the rubber boot, pull boot back from rear and front one at a time and take a good look at the wiring , make sure there are no broken wires, these wires sometimes break in half from the door opening and closing so many times, if you find a broken wire it can be repaired by adding a small peice and crimping them back together. this happens to alot of makes and models, like jeep, chrysler and gm.

Air blows out defrost only?

A poorly fitting vacuum harness to the control head results in vacuum leaking and air blows out the defrost ducts by default by law.

You can replace the vacuum harness or use 2 10" tie straps that wrap around the back plate and go on either side of the black vacuum supply hose.
The vacuum harness is $22, but even if you replace it, you should use the tie straps. There is not enough of an interference fit bweteen the hoses and the tubes.

You also may have internal vacuum leaks on the control head back/bottom plate. It has 4 solenoids that direct vacuum to the correct vacuum motor on the plenum. Thy have been known to leak.

Gino on Ebay fixes them on an exchange basis for about $125.
