The mitsubishi VZ5 chassis that will not power up often is the result of a leaky diode raising the voltage on IC700. A quick check is to check pin 4 of IC 700 for
0 Volts DC. If pin 4 has any voltage replace Diode 980 on the main PCB it is leaky and the set should power up. This procedure relates to all VZ5 chassis mitsubishi's
