How to replace Coil Springs on Toyota Land Cruiser and Sequoia?

The procedure mentioned is similar for both Toyota Sequoia and Land Cruiser car models.


Coil Springs
REMOVAL & INSTALLATION Step by Step Instructions and diagrams are as follows :-----

1. Remove the strut.
2. Using a compressor, compress the coil spring.
   
   NOTE

   A compressor with a force of 2,860 lbs. (12,740 N) or more must be used. Make sure that the suspension support is free from the spring. Do not compress the spring more than necessary. Do not position the spring with the upper end towards you.
3. Remove the center nut.
4. Remove the retainers, bushing support and spring.
5. Assembly is the reverse of disassembly. See the accompanying illustration for correct positioning of the suspension support and spring. Torque the nut to 18 ft. lbs. (25 Nm).
