How to jump fuel pump on Pontiac Grand Am

1996 Pontiac Grand AM Fuel pump relay location and bypass procedure

The procedure to run the fuel pump directly to the battery is as follows:----

The purple wire going to the fuel tank is the power lead for the pump. See below the location of the fuel pump relay,
You have to power the pump up at the wires on the relay also. It should still be the purple wire that leads to the tank and the power side of the pump.

The relay is located on the top of the strut tower and it is the one marked number 1

TESTING RELAY:---
Just remove the relay and check for a 12 volt lead with the key on.
You will have to run a jumper wire from the battery (hot) terminal which is hot when you turn the key on, to the purple wire and it should complete the circuit for you.
If you have power into the purple wire to the fuel tank and a good ground at the black wire from the tank to the body ground and the pump does not work, suspect a bad pump. You may also find that the wires are pink or green with white, the ground is still black.

1986 Chevrolet Corvette Fuse Box Diagram

Where is Fuel pump control fuse located on Chevy Corvette

There is supposed to be a fuse marked FP. FP means Fuel Pump in the fuse box.

Also fuse INJ 1 and INJ 2 which I assume is injector 1 injector 2 is for the fuel injector rail

The FP fuse is the lower right hand fuse in the fuse box. It is a 10 amp fuse.Its the last fuse in last row.

how to jump fuel pump On Chevrolet Silverado 1500?

Some car users bypass fuel pump relay or you can do this another way.The details are as follows with diagram shown below:------
There is a red prime wire at the fuse box under the hood. Run a jumper from battery positive to that wire to power the fuel pump.
