2006 ford Taurus "dash lights" not working

The dashboard lights stopped working. All other lights seem to be fine

If they do not or seem dim make sure that the dimmer switch is not turned down. This switch is near the headlight switch and if turned down the dash will appear to not have any lights. This switch if turned all the way up will also turn on the dome lamps.

If its faulty shorted bulb,then bulbs are to be replaced.

You will need to pull the instrument cluster and replace the bulbs. Their are 5 bulbs in the cluster

Check the fuse box diagram for Ford Taurus:----

You may have a short circuit in the headlight switch that is causing voltage to feed back through another circuit to the left turn indicator rather than to the lights. Since the fuse of the park/interior lamps is good and the lights still don't work, it comes down to the headlight switch.

Check this ground wire,

It should be bolted good an tight.

It is in the trunk behind the ridht side plastic trim.

How to remove instrument cluster on 1994 Honda Accord?

Replacing instrument cluster/instrument panel is not very easy.But with proper procedure and details,its possible.
The details are as follows :-----

yes, the radio has to come out, as 2 of the trim panel screws are hidden by the radio.

This same instructions are for 1990-95 Accord
See Figures 7, 8 and 9

Disconnect the negative battery cable. If so equipped, disable the Supplemental Restraint System (SRS).
Lower the steering wheel to its lowest position.
Remove the center console.
Remove the ashtray and ashtray holder.
Remove the radio/tape player.

Remove the coin box, switches and dash light controller from the instrument panel.
Remove the mounting screws securing the instrument panel. This is a large, formed piece of plastic-don't crack it.

Lay a protective piece of cloth over the steering wheel pad.
Remove the four screws holding the instrument cluster. Pull the cluster forward enough to allow access to the wiring connectors.

Disconnect the wiring harnesses and remove the instrument cluster.
Individual instruments may be removed from the cluster after it is removed from the car. Avoid damage to any terminals or the printed circuit board.

To install:

Install the gauge cluster; connect the wiring before it is fully in place. Install the retaining screws.
Install the instrument panel. Make sure it is correctly placed. Install the retaining screws.
If applicable, install the air vents.
Install the coin box, switches and dash light controller.
Install the radio, ashtray holder and ashtray.
Install the console.
If applicable, enable the SRS.
Connect the negative battery cable.
