Rear Air Suspension Not Working on 1998 Lincoln Car

Air Suspension controlling fuse needs to be checked.

Location on Rear Airsuspension fuse and its fuse box diagram is as follows:-----



The fuse is located in the power distribution box. Fuse number  #12 which is located on the driver's side of the engine compartment controls air suspension.

Noise coming from the driver side under the air intake filter?

In this case the vehicle is 2000 ford expedition.
The customer is hearing/getting loud humming vibrating noise.The noise is even noticed with engine turns off.

The problem is strange,but this problem is very much noticed on ford vehicles.Many other ford vehicle owners notice this problem too.

On that basis the troubleshooting of the problem is as follows :-----
You have described one of 2 possible components causing this being a ABS ECU which has failed and is causing the ABS motor to continually run or a concern with the Air suspension compressor if its equipped with air suspension instead of springs.

But if there is no air suspension on your ford then,This would mean its most likely the ABS motor. Try removeing fuse 102 under the hood.

For location of the correct fuse,locate the fuse box under hood.

For its location see the fuse location diagram below :-----



The fuse number 102 is very last fuse in the fuse box.

For its exact location,see the diagram shown below.Its marked with yellow color:-----
