Engine will not start?

This problem was noticed on  1996 Chevrolet Astro.This is common problem,many car drivers notice this problem on their cars.
The car will turn over but will not start.
Basically in this types of the problem,there are multiple possibilities.Its not one confirm problem to be indicated.
Check the fuel from the pump to the injectors and the timing chain and the spark from the distributor to the plugs.

A few things I suggest to check in this cases is ........
First, what is the fuel,pressure? These need 60-66 psi to start. Also the fuel pressure should hold for about 5 mins around 55 psi. Try spraying some fuel or starting fluid in the intake and see if it fires, even for a moment.
Second, the cap and rotor. I have seen countless faulty ones that were sparking but the spark was going in the wrong cylinder and that would cause a no start.
Third, the crank sensor. These can and often do fail causing the spark to off timed as much as 50 deg.
Try the fuel first and see what happens.

Going through this mentioned possibilities will help you to confirm the problem.

This no start problem is very much noticed on this model Yamaha Bike.

The fuel injection on this bike is electronic, the fuel injector is turned on and off very quickly by the computer control module referred to as the "ECM" to supply a metered amount of fuel to the engine as needed based on the inputs from the various sensors such as the throttle position and other sensors, this is called injector "PULSE" to check and see if your injector is pulsing you will need to buy a little tool called a "NOID" injector tester, it plugs into the injector connector and when the engine turns over the Noid will flash very quickly. Also you have never mentioned whether you have had the ECM (computer control module) tested for fault codes, when it senses a problem or a sensor that is out of normal range it will record a code for this fault. You will need the factory tool (called a scanner) to do this test it is essential that this test be performed or more wasted money can be spent on replacing perfectly good parts. You can buy a Noid tester from any auto parts store like NAPA, just make sure your bike has the standard BOSCH fuel injector connector, if the connector is a different design then you will need the factory tool.

This basic details will help,you to confirm the problem.

car cranks up but wont start?

This problems are very common on most of the vehicles. Basically its a indication to get your car electrical components inspected.A components gets weak or dirty causes this problem.The car which is maintained well and getting regularly serviced at required time, hardly faced this problems.

In case of this problem, this is usually caused by issue with spark plugs and components or fuel pump and its components.

Use a gage and check fuel pressure. If pressure is good, have a helper crank it, while you check for spark at the plugs.If you notice check engine light steady on dash, then get the vehicle scanned for retrieving trouble codes.This will point out the part ,which is causing the problem.
