1998 Chrysler Concorde: How to Remove A/C belt?

The A/C belt is broken or Got loose.In any such it has to be replaced.
The belt is behind the serpentine belt.

Its behind the serpentine which will need to come off first.


The serpentine belt tensioner doesn't utilize a spring mechanism, there is a bolt to loosen to ease the tension and remove the belt.



For both belts, you will need to loosen the "locking nut" and then turn the "adjuster" until there is enough slack to remove the belts. Best access for both locking nuts/adjusters is from under the vehicle. Remove the 2 push-pin style retainers on the lower air shield, and remove it to gain access.

Ac belt squeaking noise,is noticed by many car users.The belt needs to be inspected.Either its worn out or its tension got loose or its alignment is wrong or pulleys are worn out.There are lots of possibilities.
The Belt of the a/c to the solenoid pulley or the main belts can create a lot of squeaking noise.
Start the car to hear the noise now pour some water into the belt and the noise will subside off . You have the noise confirmed of a belt as sometimes it will trick you to think of water pump bearings, alternator bearings or even engine noises.
Stop the engine and check for play in the belt if so tighten the belt If not use some chalk power or candle wax to be rubbed into the belt that was making the noise - the a/c drive belt - or the main belts..
Now start and check . the nosie would be reduced or gone.
You can have the belts changed sooner or later.
