This problem is not very common.But yes,few users have mentioned this same issue,that suddenly while driving,the scooter lost all its front and rear lights and all its functions stopped working.
Basically its defective igntion switch, the igntion switch is what powers up all of the electrical system when you turn the key to run, the contacts can get burnt or the connector or both. The switch is under/behind the ignition key cylinder which operates the switch or course.

Get the switch and switch connections inspected.Also it can be loose wiring to the switch or its connectors.
Getting this detail checked will help.
