Volkswagen New Beetle Fuse box

VW Beetle Radio not powering ON

First of all check the fuse controlling radio.

If the fuse is blown,then it can cause such problem.

Fuse block is located on the drivers side of the dash.
To access the fuses you will have to open the drives door and there is a small hinged panel that can be open with a screw driver or other similar tool.

See below the fuse box diagram and its fuse location

Radio controlling fuse is Fuse #37, it should be a 10 amp fuse.

How to wire new Radio on 1990 Toyota Celica?

Replacing radio needs old not working radio to be removed out of dash.Once the old radio is out,the wiring has to be marked,so that while connecting new radio radio you don't get it wrong.
But in case old wiring's are shorted or got burned out or you forgot to mark the wiring's then,yes the details to wire new radio is as follows.
Constant - blue/yellow, acc - gray, ground - brown. Radio fuse (top center 15 amp).

This is radio wiring diagram for your car model.

1990 Toyota Celica Car Stereo Radio Wiring Diagram
Radio Constant 12V+ Wire: Blue/Yellow, connects to yellow
Radio Switched 12V+ Wire: Gray, connects to red
Radio Ground Wire: Brown, connects to black
Radio Illumination Wire: Green, do not use
Radio Dimmer Wire: N/A
Radio Power Antenna Trigger Wire: Black/Red
Radio Amplifier Turn On Trigger Wire: N/A
Front Speakers Size: 4? Speakers
Front Speakers Location: Dash
Left Front Speaker Wire (+): Pink
Left Front Speaker Wire (-): Purple
Right Front Speaker Wire (+): Light Green
Right Front Speaker Wire (-): Blue
Rear Speakers Size: 5 1/4? Speakers

But if after connecting this way,your radio is not operating then its possible that fault is in radio itself.
To confirm this,try this test.
Use a 12 volt test light to see if there is power between the gray and brown wires when the key is on. If there is power there, you may have got hold of a bad radio.
check to see if there is power at the fuse. If there is power at the fuse, run a new wire from the fuse box. If no power at the fuse, either the fuse box is bad or the feed from the ignition switch is bad.

Where is Radio Fuse located on 2007 Dodge charger?

For 2007 Dodge Charger the fuse controlling radio is located,Under the rear trunk panel next to the battery is the main fuse box, the fuses for audio system are fuse numbers 35 and 36, orange (35) and yellow fuses (36).If you have the premium sound with a separate amplifier also check fuses 43 and 44.
