2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser Convertible Fuse box diagram

Chrysler Fuse Box Diagram

Back up light not working on 2005 Chrysler PT cruiser

You need to check the Back up light controlling fuse as well as back up light controlling switch.

Also check the wiring going from switch to the fuse slot.

Any of the one can be possibly the fault.

The back up light fuse is fuse number 6 located in car fuse panel under dash.

See the Chrysler fuse box location image shown below:----

See below the fuse location, its fuse number 6 and its 10A fuse.

Right turn signal not working on Pontiac Car?

This problem was very much noticed on Pontiac car models.First check the fuse of the indicator ,it may have been blown. Most likely cause is one of three things.
1) Your car uses "dual filament" bulbs in the front. Often, one filament will break and "bridge" over to the other [parking lamp] filament. In this case, replace the bad bulb.
2)Second is that Pontiac had problems with the rear tail lamp assemblies. Water ingress into a bad rear lamp could cause this.
3)Third is a bad ground wire to one of the affected lamps.
Getting this possibilities checked will help.Thanks.

Low beam lights now working but high beams work.

If you need dis-assembly or replacement instructions for any other auto/car part, or you want to ask question related to your car/truck jeep problem then please leave the comment with your details, so I can provide you the required instructions and solutions.

Possible that either the fuse is blown , the relay is faulty or the cluster switch is faulty.
All these would require a voltage check to confirm the case. so you need to use a multimeter or a test lamp of 12 volt to check the +12 to the switch , then to the relay and to the headlamp assembly.
Getting this possibilities tested will help to confirm the problem.
Thanks.

This problem is not very common, but some users have noticed this problem
Check out the details below for troubleshooting the issue.

It sound like faulty drl relay or low beam relay.check in the owners manual in dash for relays locations.in case you get caught dark on the way home you can use head light switch manually control head lights it will turn on head lights to get you home.

Possible areas to suspect must start from the DIP switch which is the cluster switch, the relays to the headlamps and the headlamps assembly /holders and ground to the assembly.
You can confirm only when tthe fault appears and I suspect that the fault will come by when the headlamps are switched on for a while. It might heat up any of the switches , the relay points or the holder contacts as a POOR CONTACT will heat the joint and so cut off voltage or deliver low voltage due to the resistance develeoped on the heated joint.
Use a 12 volt test lamp to test the circuits when the fault appears or a multimeter to confirm the flow of voltage when the fault comes up.

I recommend you replace the low beam relay in the box under the hood. Relay #35 as marked in red circle below.

But if all checked ok,then it can be problem with BCM.BCM means Body Control Module.
It is necessary to understand that your headlamp circuits are controlled by the Body Control Module (BCM) in your vehicle. Your headlamp switch is actually a very low voltage input device to the BCM. I think your BCM may be losing the input data from the headlamp switch, thus switching the headlamps off.

This details will help.Thanks.

Wipers starts working when High beam lights are turned ON?

This problem is faced by many others too.
When the high beam headlight is power ON,the windshield wipers starts working/operating.
This is due to the wire short.
This problem is caused by a defective multifunction switch on the steering column, the contacts inside the switch are damaged and touching, this is the cause of the wipers coming on when you just turn on the high beams. To replace the switch you must remove the trim covers from the steering wheel. The switch is about $100.00 on line. You can buy the switch at your regular auto part store.Always buy branded parts of good quality, instead on cheaper/third grade non branded auto parts.
This will help.
