OBD code P0301,P0430 and P0174?

This is noticed on Lexus Ls430 car.It has run more then 300000 miles.
First the error code P0301 came.Its a number 1 cylinder misfire error code.The customer tested the cylinder and replaced the number 1 cylinder, but still obd code P0301 is coming up and including that error code P0430 and P0174 also came.This other two codes came after cylinder 1 was replaced.Previously only one misfire code P0301 was there.

On basis of that the troubleshooting for the problem is as follows :-----

As far as the answer goes regarding the P0301 code that probably would be difficult to determine given everything you've done and using propane and gasoline combinations. Short of doing a cylinder compression test that's about the only thing I see that you have not done. The cylinder compression should show approx 180psi.

The P0430 code means the catalytic converter for bank two has failed. This could be a false code because the P0174 code is indicating a lean condition. On bank two when this happens it can cause problems in the catalytic converter and could be setting this code because the rear 02 sensor is not functioning correctly due to the lean condition. Catalytic converter failures with this kind of mileage is not uncommon. Any cylinder misfire causes unburned fuel to be burned in the catalytic converters. This is what actually damages the converters. Because cylinder one is the one that has been misfiring you would think it would be setting a P0420 code which is the catalyst efficiency code for bank one.

Also i suggest try cleaning the mass airflow sensor and make 100% certain that you have no intake leaks that could be directing unaccounted for air into bank two. This is the opposite bank that hold cylinder number one that your misfire is in. If you continue to drive the vehicle with the cylinder one misfire and the check engine light starts to flash you will eventually damage bank one converter.

OBD Code is cleared but check engine light will not RESET?

In this particular problem,the customer replaced timing belt and still the check engine light is not getting cleared.

Its steady ON,not flashing.

On basis of the problem,the details are as follows.

First of all,check engine light will not clear directly.The car has to be driven for few miles to get the engine light reset.
The computer in the car has still not seen the part replaced.Once the ECM detects the new parts,the engine light will reset or there is any other problem.

This is a two trip detection logic it would take two drive cycles of this malfunction to occur in order the check engine light to reset. There is a possibility that the VVT I actuator could be sticking also causing the correlation timing problem. However this normally is associated by rough idle or loss of power. Provided the check engine light does not start to flash you should be okay to drive. This is of course unless it has jump time. You stated that you had already replaced the timing belt. Provided the water pump or some other component is not starting to fail the timing belt should still be in good condition. Please be advised that this is an interference engine. If the belt becomes too far out of time or breaks you will damage the engine.So drive two cycles and see if the code clears.Otherwise recheck parts replaced again.

Bank 2 Sensor 1 Heater circuit Failure?

You get check engine light on dash.In this case Engine computer module called ECM has to be scanned.
In scanning you get error code P0155.
This error code means.Bank 2 Sensor 1 heater failure.
This refers to the heater inside one of your oxygen sensors. The computer is not reading current to the heater. The problem may be the wires or the sensor itself. The thing to do is to check for voltage at the sensor connector with the key turned on. This particular sensor is right on the front of the engine by the radiator. If the voltage is there, the sensor is probably bad. You can also test the sensor heater with an ohmmeter as follows:
Testing Heating Element
Before Testing any electrical component, inspect the wiring and connectors for damage. Also wiggle the connectors to ensure a that they are firmly engaged.
Disconnect the electrical harness from each of the sensors.
The white wires in the sensor connector are the power and ground circuits for the heater.
Connect the ohmmeter test leads to the terminals of the white wires in the heated oxygen sensor connector.
Check the resistance of the sensor, if it is not within 4-7 ohms, replace the sensor.
The picture below is the sensor on bank 1, by the firewall. The one you want (bank 2, sensor 1) is on the front of the engine.
