DTC Trouble Code P0401?

This code is noticed due to insufficient EGR (exhaust gas recirculation) flow.

This error code is noticed on many car models.In this case OBD code P0401 is noticed on 2000
Chevrolet Impala.

In this types of problem,the car starving for gas will be noticed or car dies after few minutes or revving problem will be seen.

Unplug the Mass Air Flow sensor and see what difference you notice while driving.

Properly clean the ports and do a scan test for map and egr volt.If it gets the pcm is not cycling the egr,then is can be the maf control some of this if you notice the maf had water and oil all over it.

The MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR is what reads the change of the flow,
Try cleaning it then do the reset again and see.
Otherwise try driving with it off and see.
