Misfire on cylinder 4?

This code is due to many multiple reasons. Its not one or two reasons.Check the coil, the wiring and also check cam shaft sensor and crank shaft sensor. Also You can have an issue with the fuel injector causing this code too. If it has not been replaced most likely it is the problem.
Basically you get error code P0304 in this cases.

Getting this possibilities checked will help.Thanks.

Car makes clicking or tapping sound?

This problem is noticed on many car models.
This noise occurs in both while acceleration and in neutral.
Also In most cases the Check engine light also comes on,with This problems,.

In this case the error code was P0420.

This is a code for the catalytic converter and if you have an exhaust leak it can also set this code and can be the noise your hearing. Check the exhaust over closely for any leaks as with the code and description your giving it most likely has one.

This will help.
Thanks.

Bank 2 Sensor 1 Heater circuit Failure?

You get check engine light on dash.In this case Engine computer module called ECM has to be scanned.
In scanning you get error code P0155.
This error code means.Bank 2 Sensor 1 heater failure.
This refers to the heater inside one of your oxygen sensors. The computer is not reading current to the heater. The problem may be the wires or the sensor itself. The thing to do is to check for voltage at the sensor connector with the key turned on. This particular sensor is right on the front of the engine by the radiator. If the voltage is there, the sensor is probably bad. You can also test the sensor heater with an ohmmeter as follows:
Testing Heating Element
Before Testing any electrical component, inspect the wiring and connectors for damage. Also wiggle the connectors to ensure a that they are firmly engaged.
Disconnect the electrical harness from each of the sensors.
The white wires in the sensor connector are the power and ground circuits for the heater.
Connect the ohmmeter test leads to the terminals of the white wires in the heated oxygen sensor connector.
Check the resistance of the sensor, if it is not within 4-7 ohms, replace the sensor.
The picture below is the sensor on bank 1, by the firewall. The one you want (bank 2, sensor 1) is on the front of the engine.
See the Sample diagram shown below :----

P0031 code on Dodge Dakota?

When the check engine light remains steady on car dash. There is error code stored in your car computer. In that case the car computer needs to be scanned. If you receive the code P0031 ,in that case this code is due to the heater circuit on your driver's side upstream oxygen sensor. The sensor is screwed into the exhaust manifold or possibly in the pipe just below the manifold but before the catalytic converter. Pull the connector off, turn the key on, and check the voltage across the orange and purple wires (the black wires are for the sensor signal). There should be 12 volts. If not, check the wires--sometimes they pull loose of their conduits and burn up or otherwise short out. If the voltage is good, replace the sensor.
This basic details will help.Thanks.

Service Engine Soon light stays on?

If you need dis-assembly or replacement instructions for any other auto/car part, or you want to ask question related to your car/truck jeep problem then please leave the comment with your details, so I can provide you the required instructions and solutions.

Very known problem, many car users notice this same problem.
Basically, your vehicle computer module has stored an error code, first you have to get computer scanned. That will let to get the code.

The light is on to alert you to the fact that a fault has occurred in the engine management system(s) or a part of the emission control system, there are over a 100 different problems that turn this light on, take the car to any Kragen auto parts,Auto Zone, Shukes etc and they will test the system for free, it could be as simple as a loose or defective gas cap seal, etc etc.
Without exact code, there are hundreds of parts to be inspected.
Getting scanned is the best possible option to confirm the fault in minutes.

This problems needs to be scanned to confirm.
It sounds like a sensor is intermittantly loosing the data stream. Since the engine light came on, I would go to a reputable shop and have them check for codes. Many auto parts stores will do this as well and sometimes for free. Can't beet free. If I were to guess I would say something like the camshaft postion sensor is going bad, Or the crankshaft postion sensor, Or something like that. The code will tell which one it is.
This will help.
Thanks.

Evaporative Emissions System codes details?

If you need dis-assembly or replacement instructions for any other auto/car part, or you want to ask question related to your car/truck jeep problem then please leave the comment with your details, so I can provide you the required instructions and solutions.

The details are as follows :----
Evaporative emission system consists of many parts. Its not one error code and you replace the evap system. It  all depends upon which code you get.

Do not assume you need a new solenoid. It all depend on the specific code and some troubleshooting results.Check over all the EVAP vacuum lines and the gas cap too whenever there is a purge valve code. Check the vacuum lines at the cannister in the left rear bumper. I will paste info on the purge solenoid below.
P0440 Evaporative emission (EVAP) system - malfunction
Possible causes: Hose connection(s), intake leak, EVAP canister purge valve

P0441 Evaporative emission (EVAP) system - incorrect flow detected
Possible causes: Hose connection(s), intake leak, EVAP canister purge valve

P0442 Evaporative emission (EVAP) system - small leak detected
Possible causes: Hose connection(s), intake leak, EVAP canister, EVAP canister purge valve

P0443 Evaporative emission (EVAP) canister purge valve - circuit malfunction
Possible causes: Wiring, EVAP canister purge valve, ECM

P0444 Evaporative emission (EVAP) canister purge valve -open circuit
Possible causes: Wiring open circuit, EVAP canister purge valve, ECM

P0445 Evaporative emission (EVAP) canister purge valve -short circuit
Possible causes: Wiring short circuit, EVAP canister purge valve, ECM

P0450 Evaporative emission (EVAP) pressure sensor - circuit malfunction
Possible causes: Wiring, EVAP pressure sensor, ECM

P0455 Evaporative emission (EVAP) system - large leak detected
Possible causes: Hose connection(s), intake leak, EVAP canister, EVAP canister purge valve

P0456 Evaporative emission system - very small leak detected
Possible causes: Mechanical fault, hose connection(s), EVAP pressure "sensor

P0457 Evaporative emission system - leak detected (fuel cap loose/off)
Possible causes: Mechanical fault, hose connection(s), EVAP pressure sensor

P0458 Evaporative emission system, purge control valve -circuit low
Possible causes: Wiring short to earth, EVAP valve

P0459 Evaporative emission system, purge control valve -circuit high
Possible causes: Wiring short to positive, EVAP valve

Evaporative Emission Purge Solenoid

Description & Operation
The duty cycle EVAP canister purge solenoid (DCP) regulates the rate of vapor flow from the EVAP canister to the intake manifold. The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) operates the solenoid.
During the cold start warm-up period and the hot start time delay, the PCM does not energize the solenoid. When de-energized, no vapors are purged. The PCM de-energizes the solenoid during open loop operation.
The engine enters closed loop operation after it reaches a specified temperature and the time delay ends. During closed loop operation, the PCM cycles (energizes and de-energizes) the solenoid 5 or 10 times per second, depending upon operating conditions. The PCM varies the vapor flow rate by changing solenoid pulse width. Pulse width is the amount of time that the solenoid is energized. The PCM adjusts solenoid pulse width based on engine operating condition.
Removal & Installation
The duty cycle evaporative (EVAP) canister purge solenoid is located in the engine compartment near the brake master cylinder.
  1. Disconnect electrical connector at solenoid.
  2. Disconnect vacuum lines at solenoid.
  3. Lift solenoid slot from mounting bracket for Removal & Installation.

To Install:
  1. Position solenoid slot to mounting bracket.
  2. Connect vacuum lines to solenoid. Be sure vacuum lines are firmly connected and not leaking or damaged. If leaking, a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) may be set with certain emission packages.
  3. Connect electrical connector to solenoid.
