OBD Code is cleared but check engine light will not RESET?

In this particular problem,the customer replaced timing belt and still the check engine light is not getting cleared.

Its steady ON,not flashing.

On basis of the problem,the details are as follows.

First of all,check engine light will not clear directly.The car has to be driven for few miles to get the engine light reset.
The computer in the car has still not seen the part replaced.Once the ECM detects the new parts,the engine light will reset or there is any other problem.

This is a two trip detection logic it would take two drive cycles of this malfunction to occur in order the check engine light to reset. There is a possibility that the VVT I actuator could be sticking also causing the correlation timing problem. However this normally is associated by rough idle or loss of power. Provided the check engine light does not start to flash you should be okay to drive. This is of course unless it has jump time. You stated that you had already replaced the timing belt. Provided the water pump or some other component is not starting to fail the timing belt should still be in good condition. Please be advised that this is an interference engine. If the belt becomes too far out of time or breaks you will damage the engine.So drive two cycles and see if the code clears.Otherwise recheck parts replaced again.

Its not very hard,the details are as follows :---
Its the tiny/very small  incandescent light bulb/lens.It is behind the knob soldered to the circuit board, you must remove the climate control head unit and take it apart to access the knobs back light bulb on the circuit board. You can buy the replacement bulb at Radio Shack, the part number is 7219 Micro Lamp.

Its a procedure,not a problem.
If the airbag light goes off after that 7 blinks (some are 6 or 8), that will be normal. The airbag module will blink the airbag warning light on the cluster while performing self-test during initial start-ups. After the self-test and the airbag module did not detect any fault within the airbag system, it will turn the warning light off. If the airbag warning light continuously blink or stayed lit after the expected elapse time, then there is really a concern and you need to double check the airbag system with a scan tool.If the Airbag light stays on steay after flashing 7 times,then yes there is error code stored in airbag module,getting the module scanned is advisable.

Very known problem,many car users notice this same problem.

This happens very rarely,smog test failure is very common problem,but due to no check engine light coming ON,is very rare.
Basically, it means the check engine warning light didn't light up when it should. Perhaps a burned out bulb?
Every vehicle has a "system check" that happens every time you turn the key on. Most people don't know it is happening right before thier eyes. So if you go out and get into your car in the morning and you turn the key to "on" but then don't go the rest of the way to the "start" position there are several warning lights on. The check engine light is one of them. All the system is doing is running power through the light to show it is functional.
It doesn't mean there is something wrong, it is just showing that an error "can" be displayed if an error existed by the light being on. Try it next time. Turn the key on but dont start the engine. If your check engine light is off, then that is what they stated in the report.

This problems needs to be scanned to confirm.

It sounds like a sensor is intermittantly loosing the data stream. Since the engine light came on, I would go to a reputable shop and have them check for codes. Many auto parts stores will do this as well and sometimes for free. Can't beet free. If I were to guess I would say something like the camshaft postion sensor is going bad, Or the crankshaft postion sensor, Or something like that. The code will tell which one it is.
