- Check that there are no obstructions to the water entering the machine (faucet setting, clogged screen, kinked hose, etc.)
- Remove the top cover and check the resistances of the inlet water valves and and flowmeter.
- Check that the flowmeter has been installed properly - with the rounded section vertically oriented.
- Check out the drain hose. An improperly installed drain hose can result in 'siphoning' if the drain hose tip is in contact with water (or if a pressure issue exists within the drain). That water may be siphoned out of the hose resulting in this F20 error.
- Pull the hose out of the drain pipe and see if the tip is wet.
- If so, add more hose. You can do this with PVC pipes.

F20 Error code on Whirlpool Washing Machine?
"F20" is a No Water Detect error.It is an indication that you either have no water coming into the washer, or very little water at all. If the pressure switch has not tripped after 6 minutes, the error code is displayed.This can be a potential problem with the following:
