How does the spark plug wire go on the distributor cap in 1985 Pontiac sunbird?

Spark plug wires go from the distributor cap to the spark plugs in a very specific order. This is called the "firing order" and is part of the engine design.
SPARK PLUG GOES ON 3 AND 3RD ONE GOES ON 4 AND THE 4RD ONE GOES ON 2.The rotation is counterclock wise =1342.

See the diagram below for better understanding.

Car won't start without hitting the gas pedal?

If you need dis-assembly or replacement instructions for any other auto/car part, or you want to ask question related to your car/truck jeep problem then please leave the comment with your details, so I can provide you the required instructions and solutions.
Its not a gas pedal fault.
This is caused in most cases by a defective fuel pressure check valve, when this check valve fails it allows fuel to drain back out of the fuel lined and filter and fuel injector fuel supply rail and then you must purge the air out of the lines and filter before the engine will start and run smoothly, The fuel pressure check valve is part of the electric fuel pump and is located inside the fuel tank.
Getting this possibilities inspected will help, don't just worn your gas pedal.
Thanks.

Car jerks while going uphill and Check engine light is ON?

This problems needs to be scanned to confirm.
It sounds like a sensor is intermittantly loosing the data stream. Since the engine light came on, I would go to a reputable shop and have them check for codes. Many auto parts stores will do this as well and sometimes for free. Can't beet free. If I were to guess I would say something like the camshaft postion sensor is going bad, Or the crankshaft postion sensor, Or something like that. The code will tell which one it is.
This will help.
Thanks.
