Rear Brake lights not working on Chevrolet S10 ?

As per GM design. The brake lights for the rear are routed through the turn signal switch.Replace the turn signal switch in the column. This should take care of the problem. Also you can try by passing the switch by jumper wire to confirm the problem, before replacing the switch directly, in some cases the bulb itself checks out to be faulty or its loose wire to the bulb connecting socket.
This details will help.Thanks.
