Proper timing marks for the DOHC 3.0 liter engine?

A timing mark is an indicator used for setting the timing of the ignition system of an engine, typically found on the crankshaft pulley.The belt through which the crankshaft drives the camshaft or camshafts in an overhead valve or overhead cam engine.

For DOHC 3.0 liter engine,see the timing marks diagram below :--------

the little dots line up with the part of the timing cover surface that points inward.

Fig. Fig. 13: With both camshafts secured and the timing belt partially installed on the exhaust cam sprocket, pull the belt upward to remove any slack and slide it onto the intake cam sprocket .

Fig. Fig. 14: Once the timing belt is installed, apply a clockwise load to the intake camshaft sprocket to remove the slack from the belt between the exhaust and crankshaft sprockets.
