2009 Kia Spectra: OBD Code P0128?

The P0128 is fairly straight forward, and the most common problem here will be a Thermostat that is stuck "open". An open stuck thermostat means an increase of the engine warm up time and can cause emission increase as well. To detect open stuck thermostat, the ECM checks measured coolant temperature as soon as calculated coolant temperature reaches threshold and sets DTC P0128 when measured coolant temperature is lower than threshold.

2003 Dodge Ram: Faulty PCM no start?

The vehicle is not starting.There are many possibilities for this types of problem.
But if all checked ok,then its issue with the brain that cause no start problem.PCM means the brain of the vehicle.Also known as power control module.

Check the fuses,the ignition relay and other relays in fuse box.

If check engine light is ON,then scan for error codes.If no codes are coming up then PCM can be the issue.


To confirm the PCM is faulty, it can only be checked when the vehicle dies and wont start and doesnt make a sound.

On the PCM, there are 3 connectors - white, grey, black.

On the black connector, first back probe the dark green with black stripe wire at connecter terminal #22 for power. If no power, then it is being lost between the battery and the PCM.

If power, then check terminal #2, light green with black stripe for 12v going out. If 12v not present, then replace the PCM.

If 12v present, then  check for 12v at the ignition switch

Radio Code Issues?

When the battery terminals are disconnected the Engine System and internal module gets reset.So when you reconnect the Battery Again,most of the Engine system and module woks fine.But the Radio gets reset.In this cases the 4 or 5 digit Radio code is required,to make the radio work.If you don't have this code then radio will not work.So before disconnecting battery ,please note that you have radio code.


In this case you have 3 viable options:

You can try this:------
pull the stereo, get the serial number off the back, and call your local GM dealer parts department with serial number to get the unlock code.

Take vehicle by a GM dealer after repair and pay them 1/2 hour labor to use a dealer scan tool to retreive the code for you

Go to your local parts store and pay about $30 for a code saver that plugs into the OBD2 connector underneath the left side of dash before disconnecting the battery. This saves the code and automatically unlocks the stereo for you.

2002 Pontiac Grand AM: Power Door Lock Remote Will Not Get Programmed?

The power door lock remote got faulty.Due to this new remote was bought from dealer.But to make the new remote work,the remote has to be programmed.If the Remote is not getting programmed,then it will not get detected.In this case it can be faulty remote itself or its the Issue with BCM or Anti theft system.

first on the remote you bought, is it a genuine GM remote, or some aftermarket brand? I have seen several aftermarket ones on Ebay and such that dont work.
So Always by original factory remote from Dealer.


As per the  power door lock diagram, bcm and antitheft diagrams. Because of how the circuits are run, even if one door lock actuator or switch was faulty, the other side would still work. The only common denominator between them not working and the remote not being able to be programmed is the BCM. Other then this nothing else will cause all the current issues.

Replacing the BCM will resolve this.


To replace the BCM its easy,the Procedure is as follows:-----


For this you will have to  remove the right side trim panel underneath the right side of the dash and it is mounted on a bracket attached to the side to where the blower motor bolts to:

1995Dodge Caravan: Procedure to Replace A/C Condenser Fan?

Replacing details and procedure for Air-conditioner Condenser Fan Assembly.

If you only need to replace fan then its very simple.
you have to pull it up some, tilt it downward, lift up, tilt down, lift up and out.

But for replacing condenser Assembly.

There are 2 ways. Either unbolt and remove the radiator, or remove the front grill and bumper cover. The Removing radiator is easier of the 2 methods to replace condenser.

you can remove the fan, unbolt the radiator, remove transmission lines and hoses from it and lift up enough to come off mountings at bottom and lean against engine and squeeze the condensor out.

you are not going to get it out without at least doing that much. if you elect not to do that, you will be spending a few hours fighting to get it out without success.

Labor time to replace is 2.1 hours, so it isnt a simple unbolt the condensor lines and pull out.
