How to Replace a Cooling Fan?

Open the hood and locate the vehicle's radiator.

With the engine off and cold locate the cooling fans.

Manually try and spin the electrical cooling fan.
Safety Tip: Always wear safety glasses when working on your vehicle. Wear other personal protective equipment (PPE) when necessary, for example latex gloves or closed toe shoes.

Use an open end wrench to disconnect the negative battery cable.

Unplug electrical cooling fan connections.

Remove cooling fan assembly by unbolting the assembly from the radiator.

Install new cooling fan assembly.

Install assembly mounting bolts.

Plug electrical cooling fan connector into engine harness.

Reconnect the negative battery cable.

Let the vehicle idle and get hot, verify cooling fans work properly.
