How to Replace Heater Core Hoses?

Open the hood and locate the heater core hoses.

Inspect the heater core hoses for signs of leaking.

If you cannot find where the coolant is leaking from, pressure test the system and re-inspect.

Release pressure from cooling system after finding leak.

Drain the cooling system.

Loosen hose clamps and carefully remove the leaking hose.

Install the new hose and refill cooling system.

Pressure test cooling system again to check for any other leaks. Repair any new leaks.

Start engine and let it reach operating temperature. Let engine cool down and re-check coolant level.

Install radiator cap, close the engine compartment hood, test drive.
