How to identify number one spark plug on the distributor cap?

1977 Jeep Cherokee :

The timing order on the pistons 1-8-4-6-5-7-2.

If the spark plug wires got mixed and you are not sure,which one is number 1 then try,follow this procedure.

Best way to find number one is to remove the number one spark plug from the cylinder and then plug the hole with your finger over the outside and bump the engine over. When you feel the compression blow your finger off the hole then your close to number one. Now line the crank up to top dead center after your finger is blown off the hole. Then remove the distributor cap and see where the rotor is pointing as it will be pointing to number one. Now start the sequence here of installing the wires.
