Car water leak around the Starter area and Bell Housing?

This problem is very much noticed by many car models.A proper troubleshooting is required.
First check for any coolant hose above the leak area. Next, look for "soft plugs" located in the cylinder head near the leak. Usually these are very hard or impossible to see, as they are covered by the exhaust manifold. You might have to remove the exhaust manifold to see them. There are also a number of soft plugs located in the rear of the engine block, and on both sides of the block [iron blocks only]
If you have a leaking soft plug, the best bet is to replace all of them. Why? Because you have neglected changing your antifreeze in a timely manner. Now it's time to pay the price for that negligence. All the soft plugs will be rotted about the same amount. If you only replace one now, you will be replacing more of them in the coming weeks and months.
This basic details will help.Thanks.

Many car users notice this problems.
First of all check to make sure a coin or metal thing has not got into the lighter. If that is OK, then check the lighter element to make sure it is not burnt , it creates to much resistance on the lighter circuit and blows the fuse.If all checked ok,then test the voltage to the lighter fuse as well as the cig lighter wiring to the lighter socket.Directly connect cig lighter wires to the 12 volt battery and see if the lighter works or not,if not then there is problem with cig lighter assembly, but if it works directly, then problem is cig lighter wires. There is short.
This basic testing will help.
Thanks.

How to Inspect car no start problem?

If you need dis-assembly or replacement instructions for any other auto/car part, or you want to ask question related to your car/truck jeep problem then please leave the comment with your details, so I can provide you the required instructions and solutions.

There are many car users facing this problem.
These are only a general check point which is quick check up for any car, make or model.

There can be so many issues for a car from starting.
1. Start from the fuel, the fuel filter, the fuel pump, the fuel injectors, check all of them for good flow and pressure.
The fuel can be bad, can contain dirt , impurities, water or even be spurious.
The fuel filter is one that must be changed on schedule specially if the source of fuel is bad in a place or country.
The fuel pump is now important because of the importance of fuel effficiency. the main fuel pump ,whether electric or mechanical is also to be checked. The carbuerator is another important suspect in the older version, the build up of dirt, clogging in ports and jets are common factors.
the injectors, the glow plugs are also important for a good clean start, to be changed in the periodic schedule.

2. The second part is to check the electrics, the plugs, the wires, the distribution, the HT coils, the electronics.... the final verdict you must get a good spark.
The plugs, wires, distribution cups must be good or changed in periodic mileage. the HT coils must deliver good intensity sparks and the ingnition impulse whether from a sensor to an electronic unit to have solid state firing of the coil or the conventional platinum point contacts to the coils.
As sais earlier a good intensity spark with the correct gap setting.

finally the timing should be right, the valves and cylinders in good shape, the battery and starter is good and cranking well.
Check these tips when your car stalls unexpectedly .

This details will help.
Thanks.

How to replace valve cover gasket on 1997 chevy s-10?

If you need dis-assembly or replacement instructions for any other auto/car part, or you want to ask question related to your car/truck jeep problem then please leave the comment with your details, so I can provide you the required instructions and solutions.

The procedure with details and diagrams is as follows :-----

  1. Disconnect the negative battery

cable and remove the air duct assembly.

  2. Disconnect the throttle cable and remove the cable support linkage.
  3. If equipped, disconnect the cruise control cable assembly.
  4. Remove the PCV valve and pipe assembly.
  5. Tag and disconnect the spar

k plug wires and move them out of the way.
  6. Disconnect the power br

    ake booster vacuum hose.
  7. Loosen and remove the rocker cover retaining bolts, then remove the cover from the engine.

DO NOT pry on the cover to remove it. If it sticks, use your palm or a rubber mallet to bump it rearwards, from the

front.
  1. Using a putty knife, carefully clean the gasket mounting surfaces. Keep debris out of the engine.

Fig. Fig. 14: Remove the valve cover retaining bolts

Fig. Fig. 15: Lift the valve cover and move it backwards until it clears the hoses at the front of the engine, then remove the valve cover

To install:
  1. Install the rocker arm cover to the engine using a new gasket, then tighten the retainers to 89 inch lbs. (10 Nm). Be careful not to overtighten the fasteners and either distort the valve cover (causing and leak) or break the fastener (causing more work).
  2. Connect the spark plug wires.
  3. Install the PCV valve and pipe assembly.
  4. Connect the brake booster vacuum hose.
  5. If equipped, install the cruise control cable assembly.
  6. Connect the throttle cable and secure the cable support linkage. Tighten the bracket bolts to 10 ft. lbs. (25 Nm) and the bracket nut to 22 ft. lbs. (30 Nm).
  7. Connect the air duct to the inlet, then connect the negative battery cable.
