The transmission pan has 2 plugs in it.
The drain is the one on the bottom. There is another one in the corner, up higher in a recess that is the check/fill plug.
In order to check it.....the engine must be warm and running. You should be in park. Remove the plug and fluid should drip out, if it doesn't drip out, it's low. So you fill it until it drips out (while engine is running).
Car has to be on jackstands or lift.
