First of all you're going to need two things: 1) a transmission pipe dipstick, which you will have to buy from the dealer, and 2) a way to monitor transmission fluid temperature.
Now at the rear of the engine on the passenger side, there is a fill tube that is covered by a plastic cap.
the lower max-min marks on the dipstick are valid at trans fluid temperature of 25 degrees C, and the upper range is at 80 degrees C.
all readings should be taken with the engine idling, transmission in park
Its recommended to only use fluid from a dealer and not any local aftermarket cheap transmission fluid.

Then that's the transmission filler pipe. You will still need the OEM dipstick tool from Mercedes to check level.
