Fuel Rail (Supply Manifold) , Injectors REMOVAL and INSTALLATION on Honda Odyssey?

Removal & Installation



2001-04 Models
  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions in the beginning of this section.
  2. Relieve the fuel system pressure.
  3. Remove or disconnect the following:

    Negative battery cable
    Intake manifold
    Fuel lines
    Fuel injector connectors
    Fuel pressure regulator vacuum line
    Fuel supply manifold

  4. Separate the fuel injectors from the fuel supply manifold.

To install:

  1. Install the fuel injectors to the fuel supply manifold with new cushion rings and O-rings.
  2. Install new seal rings to the intake manifold.
  3. Install or connect the following:

    Fuel supply manifold and injector assembly. Tighten the bolts to 86 inch lbs. (10 Nm).
    Fuel pressure regulator vacuum line
    Fuel injector connectors
    Fuel lines
    Intake manifold
    Negative battery cable

  4. Start the engine and check for leaks.

2005-06 Models
  1. Relieve fuel pressure.
  2. Remove the intake manifold.

  3. Disconnect the connectors from the injectors (A).
  4. Disconnect the quick-connect fitting (B).
  5. Remove the fuel rail mounting bolts (C) from the fuel rail (D).
  6. Remove the injector clip (E) from the fuel rail.
  7. Remove the injectors from the rails.

To install:

  1. Coat the new O-ring with clean engine oil, and insert the injectors (B) into the fuel rail.
  2. Install the injector clip.
  3. Coat the new injector O-ring with clean engine oil.
  4. Install the injectors in the injector base.
  5. Install the fuel rail mounting bolts.
  6. Install the connectors on the injectors.
  7. Connect the quick-connect fitting.
  8. Turn the ignition switch ON (II), but do not operate the starter. After the fuel pump runs about 2 seconds, the fuel pressure in the fuel line rises. Repeat this two or three times, then check for fuel leakage.
  9. Install the intake manifold.
