OBD-II Trouble Code P0300?

OBD code P0300 means means the crank sensor is detecting random misfires. This can be caused by a rich or lean condition or possibly a problem with the crankshaft sensor, wiring, or the tone ring that the sensor watches. If the car idles rough, it could also be caused by an EGR or purge valve that is stuck open.

  1. P0300 on 2004 Cadillac Deville, vehicle shakes when idle, and often sounds as if it will shut off if idles for a long period of time. Delay in acceleration.
