How To Replace Condenser On Ford Ranger?

The Condenser replacing details are as follows:----

Removal & Installation of Ford Ranger Condenser:----


  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions Section.
  2. Recover the refrigerant.
  3. Remove the air cleaner outlet tube, if needed.
  4. For 2.3L engines, remove the compressor-to-condenser line fitting nut and disconnect the fitting. Discard the O-ring seal.
  5. Remove the condenser outlet fitting nut and disconnect the fitting. Discard the O-ring seal.
  6. Remove the condenser inlet fitting nut and disconnect the fitting. Discard the O-ring seal.
  7. Remove the 2 radiator bolts and tilt the radiator rearward.
  8. Remove the pin-type retainers and remove the top seal.
    NOTE
    It may be necessary to remove the radiator from the mounting saddles to provide clearance for the condenser core removal.
  9. Remove the 2 condenser core bolts and the condenser core.
  10. To install, reverse the removal procedure and note the following:

    Install new O-ring seals.
    Lubricate the refrigerant system with the correct amount of clean PAG oil.
    Tighten the 2 condenser core bolts 106 inch lbs. (12 Nm).
    Tighten the 2 radiator bolts to 62 inch lbs. (7 Nm).
    Tighten the condenser inlet and outlet fitting nut to 71 inch lbs. (8 Nm).
    For 2.3L engines tighten the compressor-to-condenser line fitting nut to 71 inch lbs. (8 Nm).
    Evacuate, leak test and charge the refrigerant system.
A/C Refrigerant and Oil charge Specifications:


PAG Refrigerant Compressor Oil (R-134a Systems) Fill Capacity: 9 fl oz.
R-134a Refrigerant Fill Capacity: 2.07 lbs.
