Power Steering going out?

The Problem noticed on 2007 Chevy Malibu.

The V6 model should have conventional hydraulic assisted power steering.
First of all check the power steering fluid level?
The power steering pump (and fluid reservoir) are located on the passenger side of the engine. (on top) Remove the cap to check the fluid level. Does the steering bind in both directions?

Other thing to check is ANY warning light noticed on dash.

If you have a warning light on then your car has electrically assisted power steering. The common problem is failure of the steering assist motor. Computer diagnosis is advisable to make sure it is the motor before attempting repairs. This part is roughly $500 to replace.

This details will help.
Thanks.
